About Me
Hi there Everyone! My name is Jonathan Ferreira, I'm a senior at Wamogo High school and a new face to Connecticut. I just moved up the east coast to live with my dad, his Fiancee, her two kids and their two dogs, leaving behind my mom, stepdad, two little siblings and a beautiful husky named Baeleigh.
I love Music, I always have headphones on (see above photo) and when I don't it's because I either have to be without them for some reason or there's already good music on. I listen to all sorts of music and some of my favorite artists are Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, Jason Mraz, Mayday Parade, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Rodney Atkins, Atmosphere, and so many more it's hard for me to choose just one.
I also love to play tennis and I have a Passion for culinary. I love the color grey partially because of a Counting Crows lyric (from my favorite song) and partially because it just looks so good on me. I love Theatre and grew up with the soundtrack from Rent playing in the car all the time so I kind of know all of the lyrics :). I love mint, Mint teas, mint chocolate chip ice cream, mint water, Everything minty is my favorite.
I plan on going to the Culinary Institute of America in the Fall and would like to become a Chef, eventually in my own three Michelin star restaurant in Napa CA. I think that I'll probably graduate from the C.I.A. and then work in a high class kitchen and work my way up until I feel like I can open up my own Restaurant, and then when I want to retire or when I get too old to be Head Chef I'll become a food critic on the west coast.
I hope that through this blog you can learn more about the way that music, movies, cooking, and the Theatre has really affected my life and how it has shaped me into who I am today (hopefully in a good way) and learn to love all of these things as much as I do.
A few Values that I really hold close to my heart are Risk, Family, and Music and I remember when I was six years old, my dad took me to see one of my favorite artists, Jack Johnson. He kept me on his shoulders almost the whole time even though I was really heavy and he couldn't really see the stage because he wanted me to have a great memory of the concert. I remember that while he was off to the side of the field smoking (trying to keep it from all the other people) I walked up to a security guard and I asked her if I could get through all the people because I couldn't see and she actually ended up helping my dad and I get up towards the front of the crowd so that I could see the concert. This action showed that a happy little six year old at a concert was able to take a risk and get a positive outcome.
